We bought these two bikes new in June 2026, and they have been fantastic. You still change gears, but without touching the clutch lever. It's like a very smooth quickshifter, with the added wrinkle that you also start and stop without the clutch. You can stop in any gear and it won't stall. And if you don't like it, you can turn off the E-clutch and ride the bike like any old NX500.

Our two Transalps are almost one year old, and they are running great. The Transalp 750 offers almost twice the horsepower of an NX500, and weighs only a few kilograms more. That extra power makes them a super fun ride, and it still has the great handling, reliability and comfort of a Honda.
